1958 Chevrolet Impala. In 1958 you bought a ton of chrome and they threw in the car at no charge. Post war cars got more chrome trim every year. The public loved it and the manufacturers poured it on. Arguably '58 was the peak of the glitz and little by little it was stripped away each model year into the 1960's.
