The C6 side scoop is taller and less deep than the more rounded C5 scoop.
The standard scoop is more subtle than on the Z06 (see Z06 above). C6 side scoop is taller and less deep than the more rounded C5 scoop

C6 rear is cleaner with back up lights dropped away from the licence plate inset as on the C5.
Tail lights are fully round on this 2005 C6 and while distinctively different that the horizontally oval
tails lamps of the C5, they still are a standard of Corvette styling.
The black housing for the center mounted brake light takes some getting used to. While it seems to
fit in some color schemes (like on this Velocity Yellow example) , it stands out awkwardly in others.

The highly polished five spoke wheels were an option on the 2005 Corvette. The drilled brakes mark
this example as having the Z51 performance option which also offered stiffer spring rates and closer
gear ratios in the manual transmission.

Door handles were radically changed for 2005 from the horizontal ovals on the C5.
The C6 features a touch pad that drops the side window slightly before releasing the door for opening.
The fuel filler while in virtually the same location also takes a radical design change from an oval
to a shape consistent with the sharper lines of the sixth generation Corvette.
